RENTAL OF A FURNISHED APARTMENT IN MONTREAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS




Our rental price includes:

  • Hot water
  • Unlimited local telephone calls
  • Cable TV
  • High-speed Internet
  • The Apartment Network in Quebec fees


Our rental price includes:


  • House cleaning
  • Parking (where available )


What is not included :


  • A $25 fee to open your file
  • Costs associated with the loss or damage of the apartment key, including services of a locksmith or for having new keys made.
  • Additional fees for cleaning the apartment after your departure, if the apartment is not left in the condition it was in when you checked-in.

    • If you are located outside North America, enter your phone number here and we will call you back immediately, free of charge. Our office is open between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (Montreal time) on weekdays and from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

  • 2. We will then advise you of the availability of the furnished apartment you enquired about and inform you of the terms and conditions (rate, amount of the booking deposit, and of the damage deposit).

  • 3. Your reservation will be secured as soon as we receive your booking deposit. This deposit can be made by:

    • Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express). Our secured site allows you to make your payment directly. Your booking will be secured immediately upon payment.
    • By Paypal to info@ragq.com . Free in Canada when you use your bank account or PayPal balance. When you use a credit card, the cost is 2.9% of the total amount sent plus $0.30 CAD per transaction. There are favorable fees for international money transfers. Fees are based on recipient's country, whether you fund the transfer with your bank
    • Bank Wire Transfer. Upon request we’ll send you the necessary banking instructions. Banks collect payment for this service from both the sender as well as from the recipient so would you please ensure both fees are pre-paid otherwise you will be charged for the recipient fee upon check-in. If you fax us the receipt of your wire transfer at 1.514.843.3223 or email it to us at info@ragq.com, your booking will be secured upon receipt.
    • Postal Order in Canadian dollars. Your booking will be secured when we receive the order (which may take several days, depending on the country of origin). Please advise us if you choose this form of payment.
    • Bank Money Order in Canadian dollars. Your booking will be secured once we have received the order (which may take several days, depending on the country of origin). Please advise us if you choose this form of payment.

  • Upon receipt of your booking deposit, we will confirm your booking by e-mail and give you the address and phone number of the furnished apartment.


Cancellation policy


  • The booking deposit is not refundable which is why we suggest you purchase a travel insurance.


Change in the contract


  • Fees apply when there is a change to the contract.


Upon arrival


  • Upon your arrival, we will meet with you at our offices in Montreal where:
    • We will hand over the key to the furnished apartment;
    • At that time, you will be asked to pay the remainder of the rent, the file opening fee of $25 as well as the damage deposit. The balance of the rent may be paid in cash (Canadian dollars) or by credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express). As for the damage deposit, it may be paid by credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express).
    • You will sign your short-term rental agreement
    • Please note that you will be asked to provide proof of your identity.

  • The apartment inventory list will be given to you along with the service guide. This card confirms the condition of the premises and all inventories at the time of check-in. As the lease holder, it is your duty to confirm both the inventory list and the condition of the premises or to notify the owner of any discrepancy within 24 hours of your arrival. After 24 hours, you will be deemed to have accepted the apartment inventory card.

  • All prices mentioned are for the period between the check-in time of 4:00 p.m. on day of arrival and check-out time of 10:00 a.m. on day of departure, unless you have made other arrangements with RAGQ.


Insurance


  • Both The Apartment Network in Quebec and the owner of the dwelling you will be renting have taken an insurance policy for this apartment; however, none of your personal belongings or your personal liability are covered by these insurance policies. We therefore suggest you purchase a personal insurance covering your liability as well as that of your companions and to insure your personal goods and belongings against loss or theft.


Departure from the furnished apartment


  • We ask that you leave the apartment as you found it when you arrived, that is :

    • the floors must be clean from dirt and dust;
    • soiled towels and linens must be removed and placed in the bathroom;
    • the refrigerator and the pantry must be emptied of any partly eaten foods or opened containers;
    • the refrigerator, the oven and the micro-wave must be clean;
    • the garbage bins must be emptied.
