Côte-des-Neiges is one of Montreal’s most ethnically diverse neighbourhoods. Mainly English speaking, its residents appreciate its lively cafés, bookstores, small shops and multicultural restaurants. It’s one of the favourite spots for students from Jean-de-Brebeuf College, Notre-Dame College and University of Montreal.
Côte-des-Neiges is a melting pot of old farmhouses, summer cottages, Victorian mansions, suburban houses and modern apartment buildings.
Côte-des-Neiges is also home to Canada’s largest cemetery. Its vast area and privileged location make it a favourite of nature lovers. The grounds are home to a great profusion of plant and animal species; a great place for a jog or quiet stroll.
